Wow...what a journey!  I met the challenge and learned some new techniques. All for FREE.  I HAD SO MUCH FUN! I dusted off a few products while acquiring a few new. The new techniques and thinking out of the box EASY, thanks Tim for doing all the work!  Thank you to all who posted comments on my blog. I am so looking forward to next years 12 tags! My new personal challenge is... well you all have to wait till January 2015.

Thank you Tim for a fun, fun.... fun tag. So enjoyed revisiting this technique with Tim's spin on it. I am enjoying the 2014 tag submission more than I can properly express...FUN FUN challenging and EDUCATIONAL...Dusting off some old favorites and learning new techniques...and an excuse to purchase a new product! Need anymore be said???? Yep this months tag....lol

Join the fun ( get the dust off those stowed away products)..I am hoping these wonderful products means we will be seeing more nautical?????? Having a wonderful time playing along! Decided to mat my pieces. The deboss technique is a really cool interesting change from the regular embossing technique. I used Tim Holtz card stock from the Distress Collection. Sanded it and filled in with distress marker.  Spent a few days at Novi Michigan " Mega Meet" and picked up the entire collection of debossing folders...whooo hooo. The butterfly was cut out with Tim's fabulous mover and shaper from an envelope that was mailed to me...how fun is that! Thanks for stopping by and please leave a footprint (comment) lol

April 2014 Tag featuring steel ruled dies

www.timholtz.com for details on how to make this tag. Working with steel rule dies is always fun! The roses and leaves were cut from the tattered pine cone die (Tim gives video instructions on how to make roses). The mirror, cork, and trellis from the NEW Trellis die, butterfly cut out of grunge using the movers & shapers Mini-Butterfiles.,....of course distress everything using Tim's distress inks.  The ribbon was dyed with Tim's distress ink. Glitter my favorite STICKLES  for some sparkle... Yea....!!!

January 2014 Tag

I have certainly been on a journey trying to meet a personal challenge. I wanted to participate in Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 ( located on his website, www.timholtz.com)  I ordered supplies needed for the January tag at the beginning of January. Needless to say, supplies have not yet arrived  and there is a submission time limit. So,  I improvised and this tag is the result. Creating the tag with some improvisions for lack of supplies EASY , publishing more than challenging.
